I've only run this unit for 1week. This morning I noticed all the lights on the controller periodically flashing on and off sometimes once sometimes up to five times. It does not appear to be losing power and is'working normally otherwise. Any thoughts as to why?

Could be air bubbles in the pump. Shake the pump, try to have the pump stand straight up in the holding container. Make sure water level sensors are positioned correctly.
Otherwise, call or e-mail Tunze

This behavior tends to be a pump overload or power under voltage. Make sure the Osmolator is plugged directly into a wall outlet or plain 6 strip and not into another controller which may be limiting the voltage available. I would make sure the pump is in a clean reservoir, no gravel or debris is getting inside or kalkwasser powder.

Thanks. None of these situations exist. Is it possible the ripple effect on the water surface could cause this? Unit is working fine otherwise.

That should cause a flashing green level light, possibly the yellow light briefly switching on. All lights flashing though would be the causes I mentioned previously.
