I’m having the same problem, I’m thinking I have it too high in the back of my waterbox? I have the DC version. It’s working and it’s very quiet but the bubbles are escaping on the end that has the notch in it.

I spoke with Roger at Tunze. I had my bottom plate upside down? I feel kind of stupid but I think this is what the problem was. The instructions show otherwise, I think so anyway. I just now turned the plate this way. If anyone else has had success and stopping this please leave a comment! I hope this maybe helps!

Mine is working perfectly now. I flipped the plate over I had it upside down that the cup sits on and I raised the skimmer up.

I think that's a different problem altogether, this thread was about tiny bubbles escaping underwater into the tank, around the motor, mostly with the ac version that's not really tunable
