Any idea when the Hub edition of the 9004 skimmer will be available?

I cannot say for sure, it will happen eventually but for the 9001 and 9004 models the cost increase is a significant issue, the HUB controller is considerably more expensive, so as long as possible they will likely stay with the older controller.

For a skimmer, what is the advantage of the hub controller? I don’t adjust my skimmer once I got it set.

The hub controller for the stream pumps is awesome

There really isn't one, you can set a longer cleaning pause and the new controller is a bit more water resistant with the housing design.

On the 9012.005 the pump has considerable upgrades, it is not just the controller. The new pump uses a larger impeller spinning at a much lower speed and this is what reduces the noise.
