I've had the tunze 9012 for a few months & its working great.
However, today I noticed water in the airline. I dont know if it's always been there but I installed a icecap co2 scrubber a few weeks ago & now I'm more vigilant at looking at the operation.
I blew the water out of it, but what would be the reason for water to be in it?
I'm thinking when I turn the skimmer off while i do water changes/feed my fish so the water gets in & not enough air pressure to suck it out?
Would turning up the air fix it?

Is this a DC model or an AC model? There are a number of reasons this can happen, anything from condensation forming, to the air intake nipple clogging up with salt on the pump, on DC models if they are set incorrectly and the pump pulses this can be a cause, impeller clearance with the impeller cover can be another cause. When you pause the skimmer, water does back up to the height of the water in the tank and on start up, some may get pushed back if there is a strong bend in the line. Generally, I would check that everything is clean, if it is a new DC model 9012.005, make sure you do not have the pump set to pulse. Double check the depth and hose routing.

Its the dc model
Looks exactly like this one

Appreciate the response. I'll take it apart & see what's going on.

Does it have the new controller (9012.005) or the old one with the knob (9012.001) the knob model cannot pulse, it is constant speed, the new WIFI one uses the same controller as the powerheads so you have to be sure pulsing is off.
