Tunze 9410 skimmer DC worth the extra cost?

I think it largely has to do with the ability to monitor levels and change pump speeds automatically.

I had a redsea DC skimmer, and after I sorted out the fact that I had it installed in too deep of water, got it a platform to sit on, I never turned that thing off except to clean it. It didn't overflow even when feeding.

Worth it? Dunno. Does this tunze do the same thing, also dunno. And I no longer run a skimmer (I despise cleaning the cup).

Don’t have a tunze. But have a reef octo regal which runs a dc pump. A dc pump gives an extra layer of control when it comes to tuning. Personally I’d pay for the option if I had to chose between a dc pump and a ac one for any given model
