Tunze ATO float switch c clip??

During my cleaning of my return section of my AIO I accidentally broke the c clip (pic below) on the top of the float switch. Im looking for a way to rig it so it still works or a way to get a replacement part. @rvitko any way to get a replacement part or a suggestion to rig it so it still works? Ato is about 5 yrs old but I replaced the motor and sensor a year or so ago.

The part that broke is circled in red and it stops the float from going all the way up the shaft.

The only way I would have this clip available is as a float switch, part 3152.300. I have seen people use a zip tie to fix this. Just pull a zip tie tight on the end of the post to retain the float.

Can it be super glued?

I have not tried, the plastic is thin and needs to fit a groove and the plastics feel to be the type that does not glue well.

A 2 part epoxy might work better until op can get another.

Okay sounds like a zip tie is it!

I’m also curious if I’m correct the tunze 3155 fails in the off position right? So if I just left it exposed/opened and it did float off it would turn off no?

I’m in the process of moving and plan to leave tank behind in old apartment for a few days to week while we move then I can get a new part.
