Tunze calcium dispenser

Simple question that I can't find an answer to:
I have the tunze calcium dispenser that hooks up to the osmolator ATO and I'm beginning to dose kalk in it. Are you supposed to shake the kalk in the dispenser when added or do you let it sit in the bottom and have the pump mix it little by little as it is added when the ATO kicks on?

Thank you for the pdf, my question more stems from a video I saw with Mike Paletta, he does not shake it like the instructions say. Says there is no need to so I was just wondering what other users generally do

The supernate is the target for dosing. It is in equilibrium despite the fact that it appears to all be concentrated in the bottom.
