I recently purchased a Tunze Comline DOC 9001 DC Skimmer on the AquaCave.com website. It was purchased on 05/30/2025. The wheel (the piece that slides + to -) to adjust the air didn't come in the box. The silencer/ tubing attachment that would go connected to back of the skimmer on the magnet did come in the box. The only thing that was missing was the wheel. What do you recommend I do to get this missing piece for my skimmer. Without it I don't think the skimmer will ever run optimally.

Let me know if you can get it to skim drier. Mine I can only get to skim extremely wet

When I had mine I had to run it above the recommended water level and then it made nice dark dry skimmate.
Do you remember how far? Mines probably 3/4” above the waterline currently

You don’t get one with the DC pump as the air is adjustable with the speed of the pump.

Thank you. After reading your reply I did a deep dive into the Tunze website. New equipment, just wanted to make sure it was complete. Thanks again.

Yes, as shown in the parts diagram the adjustment wheel is omitted on DC models, the controller is used to make all adjustments and is superior, when you close off air, water flow increases and with the controller the air and water stay in the same proportions.

After Reef, a member here at Reef2Reef pointed that out to me I did a deep dive on the Tunze website. There I was able to see it for myself. I can’t thank you and Reef enough for reaching out so quickly. Like I told him, I just wanted to make sure my skimmer was complete. 😁
