Has anyone bought this skimmer? What is the benefit to the extra chamber? Is it really worth it?

Yea, I use it. Its actually two seperate devices, they just show them next to each other. The surface skimmer takes water off the surface and pumps it out the bottom. If your tank has an overflow wont be any additional help, if not its great. For the few extra$ $ id recommend it, even if you don't use the surface skimmer right away.
