Tunze Osmolator 3

I recently just bought the Tunze Osmolator 3 ATO and the sensor seems to not be working correctly. The water level keeps dropping and the unit is not topping off. The light stays green and will only start to top RO water if I take the cover off and wipe the sensor. Is this a faulty unit?
