Turning your tank into a tank

In search of the most rugged tank ever, has anyone added additional corner bracing to a tank? Especially external bracing?

What kind of tank was it and what did you use?
What was your experience?

I had seen the installation of external lap joints on a Youtube video and was considering it to give that extra piece of mind. Hundreds of gallons of water on the floor is fear inducing.

That is a pretty extensive undertaking to stiffen the tank up
