Hey guys

Just a couple of questions with regards to keeping tuxedo urchins.

1) Any issue with keeping multiple? Or would food supply/competition become an issue?

2) Are they OK to keep in bare bottom setups?

Depends on the size of tank and how much algae you are dealing with

Many people on here keep BB setups. That is a personal preference thing.

My Urchins have always received Nori on a clip to supplement their diet.

Thank for the feedback.

Without substrate, are there any mobility issues with the urchins getting around the tank as they graze?

No, they have no problems with BB when it comes to movement. Just keep an eye if they have enough to eat and if not, give extra nori

Also make sure when you are feeding nori it’s the plain unflavored kind
