Americans, and any foreigners that may be involved with twinkies or its company:

It has come to my knowledge that 18000ish people have abruptly lost their jobs due to a bankruptcy. That sucks, but not as much as how fat we are.
For years, people have been sucking down twinkies like oxygen, along with other snacks made from toxic alien substances that lead to straight unhealthy.
Even just one twinkie after a jog is like smoking a cigarette. It is hard for your body to process this kind of crap.

The fact that people are already selling their hostess treats on ebay proves how fat we really are, but more so...lazy. Did you know cheesecake is more delicious than a twinkie on any given second of any day ever???? IT is also heavier in fat, sugar, and sometimes comes alcoholic. I cant say i know anyone who would pick Twinkies over Cheesecake. However, I can say that 99% of my friends would rather buy a twinkie and not go through the hassle of making a cake....or even slicing a pre made one...let alone walk all the way to the freezer section. Unlike twinkie, Cheesecake as fat free versions as well. Maybe they should have made Diet Twinkies...ehh...no!

When the world first tasted a twinkie I do not know what they were thinking...to me they seem bland, the cake is not that good, and the white fluff tastes like thick air. If you freeze them the fluff develops a slight ice flavor that does improve upon this disgusting blob of ingredients....about as much as cardboard makes lotion taste when it has been there for weeks, dont ask.

The good news, My womans dad works for Little Debbie! That means they might get a ton more business with all those angry fat people stomping out the cash registers for their dose of twinkies...I say GOOD FOR US HUMANS. This is just one less Junk Food on the Menu. Sure 18000 people lost their jobs, but the weight lost since the news about Twinkies was released has already exceeded 657,321 pounds per capita. :)

Bye Bye Twinkies and Hello Health. Yeah right, Twinkies will be forgotten and replaced with something else that is just as bad. They should just sell feces in a heated mug to people with LED lighting to see it in Great Detail while they down it slowly, due to the smaller diameter straw, because that sounds just as gross as twinkles.

I love junk food, but come one people, we need to realllly start eating like animals in the wild and eat things that are more naturally apart of our monkey butt diets. Diabetes is not something you can pic up living in the jungle, unless its a sugarcane forest. In our cement jungle they feed us crap. STOP EATING IT!!!!!!!!

i dont think getting rid of twinkies will even put a dent on the obesity problem. if you arent willing to work out and you eat stuff like that often, your gonna be fat. That is, with the exception of those who have high motabolism. I eat tons and tons of fat cakes but work out regularly so its balanced out.

While I respect your opinion about the health problems brought about by unhealthy habits, I'm more concerned about the 18000 families that may become homeless eventually or at least not have a happy holiday season because of greed. Being unhealthy is a personal decision, losing your job in this case isn't.

Weren't they on strike? I heard the workers were on strike and were given a day to return or the business would have to close. If that's the case I couldn't feel bad for them at all.

I don't know the whole story so there is a good chance what I heard was incorrect or that there is more info.

You're correct about the strike. The bigger problem was the executives had been mismanaging the company for years. In one of the recent years the company lost money, but the executives gave themselves 80% pay raises. Unfortunately the workers tried to call out what they thought was a bluff and it wasn't.

A couple years ago the workers gave in to wage reductions in order to save the company, but the mismanagement continued.
Just recently the company told the workers they would have to give up more wages ( 8%) and shoulder a bigger share of their health care costs all while nothing was given up by management.

You have to stop it somewhere.

Twinkies and other Hostess products are not going away. The first thing to be sold when they liquidate their assets under bankruptcy will be the brand names and formulations to another company to make the products since that is the most valuable thing they have. Another company (or companies) will produce exactly the same product and put it on the market. Unfortunately whoever buys the rights is operating under production capacity due to the economy so the extra work will provide jobs to their current people and work for their factory machinery but no one will need the Hostess workers or the physical plants that they have. I feel terrible for the people out of work. I have worked in the food industry for over 30 years and the last job I was laid off from was a company that owned a plant here and another out of state. Business dropped down to a point where they could meet their orders with only one plant operating so they closed my plant and moved the work to the other one since it was newer and more efficient. A few top managers went to the other state but everyone here lost their job and the manufacturing plant is sitting empty since no one has enough business to buy it and start producing again. It's a vicious circle. People that don't have a job buy less. Companies make less so need fewer workers who are laid off and start buying less to compound the problem in our country.

I agree...Don't go on strike unless you are ready to lose your job. There are 18000 people that would have been glad to take their places on the payroll. A company is an entity that has the freedom to do what they legally want...if the workers dont like their job GO FIND A NEW ONE, cuz now they have to anyway..and since they were on strike, does that mean they are ineligible for unemployment or Food Stamps? Im not sure how that works...I thought food stamps was how you mail perishables for the longest time, so I have no clue lol.

Let's just hope this twinkie limitation is not the sign of a Real Life Zombieland!!!!
