Does anyone run two ATOs on a single tank? I am thinking about adding a 2nd ATO to my system with sensors lower than the primary and use a murlock tube divider to connect both to the same float valve incase either pump gets stuck on. I already have the spare sensor and can connect both the sensor and the pump to a Hydros X2 which I also feel will add some further redundancy to the setup in case the X4 was to fail. Seems like a decent way to add more protection to the system for only $30

I already have the level sensors, hydros x2, and the float valve. I would still need to buy the splitter. I think it would still act the same as two different setups and add a little autonomy for alerts. The X2 can also connect to my current hydros setup and act as another backup to the entire system. The reefbreeder, or other options, cannot do that.

I have debated using a completely cut off ATO for in case everything was to fail on the Hydros, but if that was to happen the ATO is the least of my concerns

I run two Osmolators on my tank for redundancy. Completely separate systems, they each run for 12 hr increments

Ok, so not a dumb or poor decision to add some ATO redundency
