Two blennies...will they fight?

I have a tailspot blenny and so far he's awesome. I've been contemplating another one, like a starry blenny. Is this ill-advised? Are they likely to fight or might they be okay? It's a 40 breeder.

Hard to say honestly they may fight but the size and different coloration may be different enough for them to get along I've had 2 blennies together before and they were fine but only way to know for sure is try lol

A 40g doesn't give a whole lot of room for 2 perching blennies.

yeah, that's what's going through my head. In a bigger tank I'd think it would be okay. I'll stick with my gut and not try it in a 40.
