I have two MP40s on my Waterbox 220.6 setup. My tank is going to be SPS dominant with a little LPS mixed in the lower parts of the tank, so I am pretty sure I need more flow in my tank. I am not sure if I should move both MP40s to one side and get a MP60 for the other side or just add two more MP40s (two on each side). What do you guys think?

I agree with the above, and, disagree the same. I agree with @Nick Steele, in that 2 MP40's will give you more versatility when moving the pumps around for flow. I only disagree because I vote for a 3rd, and more expensive option. I say add 2 MP60's with 2 MP40's. I currently have 2 MP40's and 2 Gyre 350's in my 225 gal tank, which is almost the same dimensions as yours. I will replace the Gyre 350's with 2 MP60's. I am not replacing the Gyre 350's because I don't like them, I am doing it because I want different levels of flow in the tank and a Gyre simply moves the whole tank the same way. It really depends on the aquascape when the ability to change and direct flow comes into play. Below is a few pictures of my tank and the placement I currently have the MP40'S and Gyres. I plan on putting the MP60's in the same spot and the Gyres.

One thing that always fascinates me is amount of flow and pumps people use, and i always wonder how?

I have 2 sow8 pumps (2245gph each) and i have very limited options on placing them in tank, either is destroying sand, or blowing hell out of corals.... And tank is 4.2x2x2....

I'd rather go with more pumps, rather than one with more flow, that is, if i ever figure out how people manage to use so much pumps/flow in their tank.....

You could go with 4 MP40’s as well, I just like to not have to run them at a high percentage to get the 40x random flow I want.

Good point. What mode/modes do you recommend for sps dominant? I am currently using reefcrest.
I use the reef crest mode mainly, but, at night I change it to constant for the fish.
