Anyone purchase an advast plank and plumb into a T on their return pump notice if the small pump was needed or not?

You probably could do it without the pump. The pump more or less stirs the water in the feeding tube helping to rehydrate the Reef Jerky while it is being dispensed. I would imagine that a tee off the return would do similar. You'd definitely want to restrict the flow down to keep the tube from overflowing.

I run the pump 🙂. Without the pump the food drops in randomly and over a long period. With the pump it’s delayed but drops in consistently. I need a spray into the DT vs one flake here and there. Works either way though.

Good choice on auto feeder and you’ll love running it into the return. Every tank I have will implement this from here on out.
