Two spot blenny- algae wafer questions

So I picked up a 2 spot blenny on Saturday for my tank. The lady told me it was feeding on brine/mysis shrimp and algae.

Since Ive had it, the blenny has not shown any interest in the mysis shrimp, and just seems to sit in the same spot all day. I picked up a small bag of Algae wafers, and didnt realize they just sink right to the bottom, while the mysis float all around the tank. Can I assume the fish is finding the algae wafer and eating or should I have gotten algae flakes instead that will float by the fish?

It is probably just adjusting if you just added it to tank.
Do you have any Nori/algae sheets ?- you can rubber band a small piece of a Nori sheet to a small rock in your tank for him to eat ( if in QT tank rubber band Nori to PVC pipe).
If that does not work or he seems stressed ask for R2R reef squad for help

I do not have nori sheets..i just put a piece of algae wafer right next to it, and it nibbled at it, but I havent seem it actively search out food yet.

Had one before, very tiny mouth, but just live off from algae in my tank, and got fat. Can never swallow mysis or brine.
Used to cut ON Formula 2 smallest pellets into 3 or 4 pieces and that, it can swallow (i guess flakes should work too)

I wouldn't worry too much about it. As said above, he could just be settling in and can meet his dietary needs from algae in the tank.
