Hey guys,

Not sure if this forum will cover this - all I see is mostly Apex but (I think) those are more complex so maybe I can get a quick answer here - I just set up my LED kit, which came with a Typhon Controller. I believe I have it all set up correctly, but I want to learn how to use the Typhon as it was intended to simulate sunrise / sunset.

Four buttons - Menu, Select +, and -

Setting Mode > Timer , All Channels ON, All Channels OFF, Custom
-----I believe I want the custom setting, allowing me to set the channels to different intensities)

Channel 1 Start (Set start time - 24 hour clock)
Channel 1 End (Set end time - 24 hour clock)
Channel 1 Fade (Set fade duration in minutes for both sunrise and sunset)
Channel 1 Max (Set Max Level - light intensity)

Channel 2, 3, 4 have same options.

Hypothetically - could I just use Channel 1 and say start at noon, end 10pm, have 30 min fade, intensity at 50%...

What are the other channels for? I think my main question here is about the channels. Do they have to do with the physical location of where stuff is plugged in? Or since I have something plugged in, will all four channels cover that?

I am dumb, I can provide pictures to make this easier for all of us!

Thanks for any assistance provided, greatly appreciated.

There are four channels on the controller so you can have four channels on the light fixture or two channels on two different light fixtures.

On my first DIY fixture I did have four channels programmed to ramp up and down separately. On the six foot DIY fixture I'm using now I use three channels.

This is so you can keeps your blues and whites separate to control the K rating of your tank also.

I would love to be able to have my blues on channel 1 and whites on channel 2. Photo above is the wire that connects to Typhon, on the other end of that I have a wire that split into four, I used two of the four wires to connect to port #2 of the drivers.

Crisis averted. What had me confused was for whatever reason channels 3 and 4 control my lights.
