Just wondering if anyone near or in Santa Barbra is using the Salt water Tap at USCB ? If so what where or are the results of using it... It it a good idea to use it for the reef tank?

I’ve heard from a few alumni that it’s there specifically to make having a saltwater aquarium as a student more viable!

I’m not sure of the specifics about water chemistry, but assume it’s natural seawater! — it could be worth asking staff where the actual sea water intake is located (some municipalities dump treated sewage into the ocean)…

Is this it?

There's a contact number....sounds like you may have your choice of filter, unfiltered and heated or unheated.

Some folks (@Paul B) would walk a mile for access to unfiltered seawater. I'm inclined to agree....artificial mix is for us inlanders with no coastal access!! :)
