Does it disappear after lights go out and then return again when they come back on?

It seems consistent. I haven’t tried leaving the lights off for a couple days. I’ve been considering it though. It doesn’t really grow where there is little light or in shades areas.

I agree with both @OctaviusBrine lol and @Mr. Mojo Rising. Adding pods and dosing live phyto plankton are a really great way to combat nuisance algae as the pods eat it down to the roots and the phyto consumes nutrients thus competing with the algae.

Since it doesn’t “disappear” during the night it is unlikely to be blue/green cyan so is most likely the start of GHA. I see an urchin in the picture, unsure if you additional CUC (Clean Up Crew) but draws cerith snails also get into smaller areas.

If you’re looking for pods, we are doing a Black Friday promo offering 50% more pods right now. Or normal amount is packed so these will be even better. I don’t generally ask so direct but since one of our customers shouted out thought I would mention the bonus.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
