So I totally forgot that I started this journal, my apologies.
A little history on my saltwater journey. I got the UNS R120 as a replacement for my RedSea 350. It was the brand I was familiar with from my freshwater days. Before the RedSea 350, my first saltwater tank was a UNS 60A (20 gallon aio) circa 2021.

The reef always had low nitrogen issue thus I never installed a protein skimmer since the tank transfer on March 2025. Today is the third day of ammonium bicarbonate dosing. I’ve been dosing 0.1ppm of ammonia per dose, per day. Will report back soon. Cheers!
