Is there any difference between Ulva Lactuca and Ulva Reticulata function in refugium?
Trying to find Ulva Lactuca, but I found Ulva Reticulata instead.
Thanks!

I may beg to differ. I grow Ulva intestinalis in my waterfall ATS which reduces nuitrents and grows at an amazing rate. I have been using this algae for a number of years now and negates the need for a good sized fuge which I would need to obtain similar results growing cheato. I did grow cheato in a fuge some years ago but never had the same success as I couldn't provide a large enough sump to grow enough cheato in to keep up with or reduce my nuitrents.
Thanks! So basically both sp. Will work the same, right? From what I am seeing on Google images, Ulva reticulata has a stringy thallus, like gutweed (Ulva (Enteromorpha) intestinalis). This related algae, like the sheet-like Ulva lactuca, also makes for a great refugium algae (fast growth, can be harvested as food for herbivores), though it's much less common. I would assume its care would be similar to that of U. reticulata.
