um is this good or bad???????? red slime

this popped up in my tank thought it looked cool now its taking over the corner of my tank and now I have my new 72g cycling and put some live rock from my 20g in there and its growing in there too

Ryan, are you talking about the purple stuff in the sandbed? If so, it looks like cyanobacteria...typically to new tank start-ups.
 
That's bad stuff! Scoop out what ya can. Improve flow, partial water change, reduce feeding and reducing lighting hours.
 
Coralline is more of a purple color and usually grows on the glass and rocks, never the sand bed
 
I was told that there was diff type of coralline I do have a lot of that too I had bought a rock with orange purple green and maroon "coralline" on it so I guess I got ripped off

No I have seen other colors "green, yellowish and some maroon" of coralline on rocks but mostly purple. Which covers most of my glass except the front.
