Hello, I just picked up an evo 5 gallon nano tank and will be documenting the tank as it matures. I also own a big 120 reef and as the story goes you cant have enough tanks. My approach with this tank will be keep it simple.
I pulled the filter tray as the main filtration will be the live rock in the tank. Bio load will be minimal 1 very small fish and the coral. I upgraded the light to a kessile a80 tuna blue and what a difference in the looks of the tank that light makes. I’m going to try and show that a healthy nano tank can be maintained with just weekly water changes and no other dosing. I used real reef rock and black sand substrate.

I agree, great aquascape. I have had several 5 gallon tanks that lived on water changes alone. Always a fun size.
