Not sure where to post this, move it if necessary mods.

I have seen one in my refugium now twice in the last two months. This thing is shaped like a mushroom, moves like a jellyfish, colored white, and is 1/2 the size of a eraser tip. Any ideas?

Do you have any pictures? So its floating around your sump or it has a pumping action like a jelly?

No pics but yea it pumps around like a jelly fish would. No pics as I have only seen it a few times.

Ok let me recant what I said. I have never paid any mind to what I saw before. Now that I look.. I have a bunch! They appear like a mushroom but the top reversed if that makes sense. They do pump like a jelly for propulsion. Its the white circular thing in center of pic.

I have vid I can email or txt anyone who may have a idea. I tried to attach but can't figure it out.

I'm not sure what I'm looking at in the picture, but it sounds like it could be a hyrdoid, which is a cousin of the jellyfish.
