I just picked up my UNS R60 and got it inside. I noticed that the corner of the stand was a little off. Is this okay? Or is there some sort of defect with this stand? I can see a gap and through to the other side once I set the tank on top. Everything is perfectly level. Would you trust this once filled with water?

Ask UNS support they will send you instructions on how to adjust. Had a lighter issue on R150 and it was 5 minute fix.
Thanks! I submitted a request with them. Glad to hear it should be an easy adjustment to resolve.

UNS support helped me out! After making the adjustments how does this look now?

Looks much better. You may be able to adjust it further to get it perfectly level still, although I don't think it will make much of a structural difference. Once the tank is flooded, the black nano-foam mat will compress slightly as well.

Glad the adjustments helped!

I’m looking to pull the trigger on the UNS R75. Can you guys tell me some recommendations on equipment for the sump? I’ll only be stocking some clownfish, anemones and soft corals. Nothing too complicated.🙂

Simple heater, 1000gph DC (adjustable flow rate) and some filter sponges seem to be working for my R75 setup which currently has a setup similar to what you're planning. A nero3 powerhead or two wouldn't hurt. I dont have a skimmer (yet) and hope to avoid one if i can.

I’d like to avoid a skimmer as well. I’m considering a refugium as I’ve never done that and I’ve read of the benefits. If I go with the R60 I don’t think I’ll need a skimmer. I currently have the HelloReef 15g nano and of course I’m wanting to upgrade now.

Skimmers are pretty common as I'm sure you're aware but for me I'm holding off as long as i can. I've only had livestock in my system for about 3 weeks. I'm definitely still in the early stages, but I'm just now seeing brown algae (diatoms??) forming in my system (specifically my refugium chamber running the UNS light for 12hrs (offset from my display tank light)). My clean up crew has been all over what little has algae has formed on my rock in my display but i keep the cool white light low in there. I'm new to the refugium concept myself but my chaeto is looking healthy but not growing very fast. Trying to pin point how to improve it's growth (higher refuge light intensity is where I'm starting), but i just got my Hanna ULR Phosphate checker today and I'm at 0.18mg/l. Better chaeto growth, less feeding, and maybe PhosGuard will help keep me from adding a skimmer to my cart...
