UNS R75 build

Hello. Im very new to reefing. About 5 months ago i got a hello reef tank for my daughter and now thousands of dollars later, here we are. This will be a fairly slow build as i dont wanna drop a ton of money right off the bat and i also want to take this slow to make sure i do it right.

Heres some gear i have for the tank. I have other odds and ens like sand, marco rock, bio media and im going to temporarily use the AI prime light off of my other tank. I think im going to go with the orphek OR 4 bars eventually

After about 10 hours of gluing, cementing and a lot of cursing heres my first ever attempt at aquascaping. Im actually pretty pleased with how it turned out. Theres still some more minor things to do to it but id say its 95% done.

Heres some progress from today. Had to take the Christmas tree down and clean up all the christmas crap before i could start setting this up. In the one pic you can see the hello reef tank that started this all. lol

I set my aquascape on egg crate and cut the the eggcrate in fours and spread them apart so my pistol shrimp can make tunnels.

Got the protein skimmer in and refugium light installed. Loving the little drawer on this thing. The skimmer isnt running as im cycling right now

Just waiting for this thing to cycle. Im going to run 3 AI 16hd that i already had until i can get a bigger better light. Got a simplicity doser and ordered the hydros start to control my heater and ATO and monitor ph, temp and salinity. The bubble magus is finally starting to break in after boiling for 2 weeks.

Not perfect but it will do for now. Got a couple other things coming in so ill clean it up at some point
