I’m also considering a UNS tank. Thinking of R90. I wonder if they ever go on sale.

I spoke to a couple vendors to narrow down which model I want. Decided on the 180. They said the 240 is oversized freight and was like $1200 for shipping. I told them my timeline and they said that UNS doesn’t really do sales. That’s fine with me, I just want a solid tank to replace my Red Sea.

I wonder if the Clarisea 5000 gen 3 will fit in the sock area (on a stand) of the UNS Peninsula R150?

It will. We can't guarantee that the ClariSea 5000 will sit at the proper operating height (as we have not tested it), but we know it will fit in the chamber.

Do you know if any of the fleece rollers fit with the right operational height? Specifically for the 180.

I know its the size down, but my Red Sea Reefmat 500 fits just fine in the 150.

We have a few customers who have used the ReefMat 1200 on their R120-R180. We have not been able to test it ourselves, but we know for certain that the ReefMat 500 will fit.

I’ve been looking at tanks to consolidate a couple of my nanos and also potentially to replace my Red Sea before my seems give out (plus I want to be able to get more tangs). Probably replace my Red Sea first (and upgrade it to a larger tank at the same time ). I was looking at Waterbox and UNS. I kind of like the style of UNS and their magnetic panels (I hate the hinges most of the companies have on their stands). Hoping to upgrade this fall maybe spring, but want some time to plan. Anyone with experience with UNS tanks have any feedback on their ease of set up and quality?

I got my UNS R90 in August and love it. I’ve seen several 180s and they are beautiful. I’ve really not heard off any complaints for UNS - the quality and ease of setup is amazing.
