Hello,
I scored an amazing deal yesterday (5 stage rodi system, 75gallon hexagon tank with sump and skimmer for $225!) and I’m just wanting to make sure these filters will work with my system? The seller told me two filters needed to be replaced but that the membrane is good. He texted me a link for the filters too. It’s just bull reef supply’s 4 stage value kit. It’s out of stock for now and with the slow rate of shipping, I’d like to order the parts sooner rather than later (I had a bad experience with my LFS and don’t want to keep spending money there every week). Can I buy a 5 stage kit instead? Or one of the other 4 stage kits? I don’t have any experience with rodi units so I’m not sure if there is really a difference between the different 4 stage kits? I’m sure this has an obvious answer but I’d rather ask than spend money I didn’t need to.
Thanks in advance!

You can buy a 5 stage. If I recall, that just gives you an extra DI resin. You'll end up using it anyway eventually.
Nice score by the way..

Follow up question- they have like 4 different 5 stage options... will they all work?

This is where things get a little more in the gray area.
IMO a decent 4 stage should have:
A) sediment filter
B) Carbon block (xhlor-plus for areas with Choloramine
C) RO membrane
D) DI resin

So I ended up just looking at the 3 replacement pieces included in the 4 stage kit and bought them separately instead.
Thanks for your quick response! Any good videos on how to get the system set up? It has a bunch of colored lines but I’m not sure what connects where
