Anyone ever seen a gig with white stripes like a haddoni before?

What makes you think it’s a Gigantea? Everything in this picture suggests Haddoni.

Thats whats interesting about it, when you lift up the disc it has purple verrucae

Well that is officially a first for me! Tagging along to see what it grows up to look like.

Right! I was going to pass on it thinking haddoni but vendor sent pic of verrucae and it does have them in person, hopefully the qt process is smooth

Even with the visible verrucae it still looks like a haddoni. What is the disk to foot ratio? Is it close to a gig or a haddoni?

I've never seen a gig with stripes, though with a lot of haddoni those stripes go away as the anemone acclimates.

I too, am curious to see what this turns into!

Here is another pic; the tentacle density def looks haddoni, its def still acclimating though, def not a standard gig if it truly is one, but who knows what's hiding in the ocean. When it was in the bag from vendor it def looked more gigish. Looks to be more foot than disk at the moment

Wow those purple verrucae would've told me "gig 100%" but then flipped over I'd say "haddoni 100%" -- you're absolutely right when you said but who knows what's hiding in the ocean.

Any chance that it is a hybrid of two?

Speaking if unusual gigs looks like pea may be getting a red one in from the pics

Can you share where you have seen this? I'd love to see it! I check their website daily and follow them on Facebook and don't see any photos of new anemone stock coming in. Dr. Mac told me last week that they won't expect anyone gigs or mags until mid January.

They will be getting a shipment of Gigs and Haddoni in on the 30th I believe. Check their sub forum.

Thanks! Exciting to see a potential red gig coming in!

Don't hold your breath... I have my doubts about that RED
Oh hmmmm.... now you've got me curious. Can you provide us with more detail as to why you have doubts?

I was thinking that that could be a red gig, but like this one above it may be a haddoni with visible verrucae (for our sake I hope I'm wrong).

Just a gut feeling... if it is a red gig ...somebody's gonna need a second mortgage to get it 🤣

Would definitely be a bummer if mine ended up being a haddoni, especially given the more muted colors.
