Unusual gigantea

Okay I just looked at the photos again and it looks like a red haddoni with visible verrucae (which is more likely than a red gig). I think a lot of times we see what we want to see, or hope to see. It's hard to be objective when I think we're all hoping for another red gig.

Well - my blue "Haddoni" has verrucae but its tentacles are saddle-like, typical Haddoni traits, similar to yours. Check this out:

Yes two seperate animals, the picture of the purple spot in the mouth is from the anemone this thread is about

The purple spot is on the siphonoglyph. Fairly common and nothing to worry about (not that anyone was worried).

Lost two fish, things were looking bad and i ended up buying some battery air pumps which held the tanks over

Made it to my display on xmas day. It stayed on the rock i put it on for now. Will keep thread updated if any changes which would signify a gig or haddoni id. If it ends up being a haddoni i will most likely trade it in to lfs

Yeah, gigs are fine. The bleached tan one deflated that night when the power came back online, hopefully was just irked from the 50 percent water change i did when power came back online. Seems fine and hasnt deflated since.

Just an update i ended up trading this specimen to the lfs, it was too haddoni like and i didnt want to dedicate space to a plain colored haddoni. Ended up getting a nice mertens to fill in the gap . Also ended up finding a true purple gig currently in qt

That's a nice mertens! and congrats on the purple gig! I am very jealous of y'all that have fish stores that carry a good nem selection. All I can find around here are BTA, LTA, and Sebae (which always look like death)

Thanks i got them mail order and they appear healthy. Lfs down here are more miss than hit when it comes to the more unusual anemones

I almost pulled the trigger on the large Mertens he's got, but ultimately decided against it just because they get SO big.
