That’s good they’re taking it back and replacing the killed snail. Best bet is to be very certain of what you buy in the future. Don’t trust a label.

TBH, I didn't even return them. I had such an unpleasant experience with the owner via Facebook chat that I decided it wasn't worth it to even bother. They seemed more insulted that I would suggest I had a whelk purchased from them than showing any interest in fixing it.

What is up with people getting defensive instead of just accepting responsibility? At least you know who not to deal with. In this hobby I have found some of the most ego-driven people defending their "turf". Sorry you had that experience. I am close to Raleigh and go around there often for fish/corals .. can you message me the store name so I know to watch my back? I've had these whelks before and it was hard getting them all out. Just received AEFW from a guy from TN on here yesterday..... totally denies it.
