hey guys. just did a final rescape. i'm going to leave this as is and let all my sps grow out. no touching except for the glass cleaning. And only thing changing is that i'm going to put my chiller return pump that's on the left side underneath into my sump. after i redo my sump....argh.....:squigglemouth: enjoy!

thanks Kelby, btw pics coming to your PE in about 10min.

Austin: idk i have high flow and never had a problem keeping my tank sand clean after balancing the elements. only thing is that my sand is very FINE. been running DSB for years since my first SW 55G. i also dose microbacter7 and that really helps!

Sweet set up!How do you keep it so clean with a DSB?

Interesting!Im impressed,I have never really been a fan of the DSB style tanks, but this is kinda changing my mind!Im trying to start doing new things instead of living inside the box,I learned life is to short to live in a box and worry! So,what the heck,Im all for new things!Im going to try MB7 with a deeper sandbed now!

thanks for the kind comments guys! austin: i got my sand from the ocean. i sifted it before putting it in my tank. that's the only thing i did. no special cleaning or anything. i did have some red slime algae problems before but that was due to me overfeeding. at one point i had 20+ fish in my 180G. i had more live rock then so there were way more hiding places for all the fish.

Great looking tank and inhabitants. From what I could see in the pics it looks like you have a really good looking stand as well. I would love to see a "full set up" pic with your stand. Thanks for sharing.

thanks, yes i'll try and take a fts with the stand in. the frame is made with normal hardwood but the outer is skinned with a type of wood called curly Koa. it was $$$$ for a sheet.
