This 29 gallon undrilled has been up for almost a year, haven't done much the last 6 months because of this planned upgrade. It was unfilled, ran with Fluval 201 canister filter with Seachem Matrix and Purigen, Current USA Orbit Marine 24-30 LED light, DIY external Chaeto reactor.

Do-it-yourself 20 gallon sump has 3 sections. Center section has an LED flood light mounted to the back for Chaeto. I also built a small shelf at the top of this section for filter floss, I just replace as necessary, no socks.
