Hi all,

It's been a while since I've been on here.. I had a 64l tank and it was brilliant when I started the hobby but then I started losing fish, shrimp, coral... I then started losing interest as I was just watching money be flushed down the toilet!!

But..

Even though I just left my tank, didn't do any sort of maintenance only feeding the fish every other day my 2 clown fish, Damsel and Firefish were quite happy lol.. Always eating, always active! So this has brought my love back for the hobby.
I recently purchased a 125l tank, everything is running smoothly, and today I am off to get a skimmer!

People do tell you to be patient and do it properly.. I never listened I just rushed into it..
If any new hobbyist are looking for any sort of advice, I would say -

• Start BIG ( Small tanks are a pain )
• Take your time
• Buy everything you need before setting the tank up
• Run the cycle longer than recommended
• Read up & get advice

I am now doing it properly.. No one want to flush £50 - £1000 down the toilet, so just relax, everything comes with time!
