upgrading from a 20g to a 55g what kind of lighting should i use

I am upgrading my 20g long to a 55g what kind of lighting should i go with..i dont have alot to spend on lights so somthing thats good but not to expensive

Depends on the look you like. I'm a MH guy, love the shimmer and they are proven thru and thru.

I'm also a mh guy. I actaully have a dual 175w metal halide setup for sale. I'm in cookeville

How much....i got t5 right now but i like the look of leds i like the shimmer as well

Great deal, a pair of 175w's would be perfect for a 55g. Enough light for whatever you want and not as much heat to deal with as the 250w. If you want to get fancy down the road you could diy yourself a strip of led actinics.
