They are in!
Last night the long and arduous transfer began!
Started at about 7 pm and didn't get done till about 3 am
The acclimation and transfer of all the corals fish and inverts was finally completed!
I didn't do any glueing of corals yet because I want to get a good par reading first, but to say I'm beyond happy and excited would be an understatement.

So glad to report that everyone is happy and healthy!
Unfortunately my red headed fairy wrasse has come down with Popeye. He was fine when I brought him home but he may have come down with an infection by bumping a rock or so from what I have read.
Short of getting him out and treating him, I'm glad to have found out that with good feeding and proper parameters he should make a quick recovery!
Also happy to see that my new tang is a total glutton! He eats everything and anything and is such a great active addition to the tank!

Looking forward to this adventure!

It's about finding that sweet spot with the water height inside the body of the skimmer. I was having the same issue with my Skimz oval skimmer, it was pulling way more water than what I had seen other skimmers pull. I watched a video that someone on here had linked into anther article, can't remember the which one but the video had the guy showing that the water height should be about at the bottom of the neck of the collection cup. This will allow the fluffy foam bubbles to collect on top of the water and the get pushed up carrying the waste. I will try to find the article or YouTube video later and post a link in here so you can see it. Before I tuned it like the video was saying I was emptying the collection once a week with a tea colored water being present, now I am going closer to two weeks and the waste is a coffee color. Oh and just as an early warning the waste is horrific smelling, absolutely one of the most disgusting smells I have ever encountered. By far the absolute worst part of having an aquarium is cleaning the skimmer cup, at least for me.

Update!
So I'm happy to report everything is doing really well, I am very sad to say though that I did suffer a huge casualty.
I purchased a golden rhomboid super male he was gorgeous and I named him zapdos! Well zapdos decided one night to fly right through egg crate cover on the tank and I found him as a little fish stick the next morning...I can't lie I almost cried. He was a beautiful little fish very active and a hungry water! My next investment will have to be a mesh screen! But until then here are some happy shots

To anyone who's following lol

Well I Added a coral life fixture to my Refugium
And it's working so much better
A lot less light pollution at night from the tank and it's more concentrated towards the fuge.

I'm still looking for a mesh covering for the top of the tank so the hunt is still on!

And I have recently fallen in love with the idea of a lyre tail anthias trio. So I'll be doing some more research on that as well:)
So excited with the progress that this tank is making!

Current inhabitants include

1-mandarin goby (pandora)
1-clownfish (nema)
1- yellow tang (bowser) he definitely runs the tank.
1-yellow eyed kole tang (Cole)
1-red parrot fairy wrasse (charmander)
1-blue sided fairy wrasse (pacino)
1-exquisite fairy wrasse (Picasso)
1-solorensis fairy wrasse (Popeye)
1-Midas blenny (aqua)

Everyone is looking super happy
I'll try to get a video I would love to take pics but these guys don't stop moving!

Few new additions
Added a coral beauty and a golden headed sleeper goby!
The beauty is doing great but the goby won't eat anything, he's sifting the sand but I can't seem to get him to eat anything I've dipped in garlic and tried different foods. My last chance will be live brine I hope it works!
He's a big boy I want him to stay that way and healthy!

It really didn't take long for the Duncan
But I did notice a huge difference for everything when I started dosing calcium and alkalinity daily! Then heads started popping up everywhere!!

So today I purchased two female square back anthias
And a flasher wrasse
Now I know the male anthias is going to be pretty aggressive from the get go so I made my own
Diy acclimation box since I had all the spare parts to go shimmy one together
What do you guys think?
