Hi all! I'm upgrading my light on my Evo 13.5 from the stock to a Fluval 4.0 Marine, and was wondering about the connectivity. I work in an area that does not have Internet connection, so I cannot use my phone. If I program the lights for a setting of on/off at specific times, will it still work if I maintain an Internet connection in my home, or will it not work? I've already ordered the lights and just thought about this issue.

Thanks!

I am not familiar with the operation of that fluval light, but I can say there are better lights for the price that are user friendly. Have you already purchased it?

I have, mostly because after about 5 days of research, it was the only one I found that would fit in the stock lid without getting a mesh lid (mostly due to cats and cat hair)

I see! fitting under the hood is a tough one to argue with.

Which fluval are you getting, I mean which wattage? IMO only the 60 watt light would be a real upgrade. When upgrading, look at watts, that is the measure of power. I would suggest to look at lights in the 50 ish wattage range. As mentioned above, there are many choices of better quality at lower price than fluval
