Upgrading to a wb infinia 150 and it’s suppose to ship at the end of June. I’m upgrading from a 50 gallon cube. All I want to transfer over to the new tank is the fish. I have a lot of my rock covered in brown clove polyps so I don’t want to use any of it in the new tank. Im going to start cycling the rock for the new tank in a bin today. Dr tims method
Since the tank is going in the same spot I have to tear down the old tank and setup the new tank in the same day.

Is there anything else I can do to prepare? My only worry is the new rock not having enough beneficial bacteria.

Fish list-
2 clowns
Fairy Wrasse
Banggai cardinal
Pink spotted goby+ pistol shrimp
Chalk bass
File fish
Royal grama
Bristletooth tang

I'd put some of your existing rock into the bin with the new rock so it can seed if you can find some without any cloves.

Moving sand can be tricky, or are you bare bottom?

Im doing new sand also. I have a bag of bio media I added a couple weeks ago when I was planning for the new tank. I’ll throw that in with the rock to seed it.
