i will be upgrading my reef tank from a 54 gallon to 75 gallon reef tank ... I will be using all my old live rock and tank water and just add some new water that is missing... will not use sand and will not use old sump ....
Will I have to cycle the tank ?
I want a more stable sand as well something that won’t fly off that easily any ideas on what sand can I use ?
And also will everything be fine ? Any ideas or tips will help and be appreciated...
thank you in advance :)

You’ll want to cure the new rock first and look into special grade reef sand

If your not adding any new rock and getting new sand. You could transfer everything on the same day

Everything should. E fine. The new sand may spark a new diatom bloom but no big deal.

I paint d the back of my tank with Lowe’s black spray paint. Just use good cleaner or acetone first before painting for good adhesion,
