Hello all, so I’m planning to upgrade from my current 45gl cubed AIO JBJ to a 60gal long AIO. Do I need to cycle that tank if I put everything besides sand from my old tank into the new one or no? I’ve never swapped tanks before so I’m curious! All help would be appreciated!! First photo is my current and last few is the tank I’d be switching to

Short answer is no. Slightly longer answer is something like Bio-Spira works really well when you move everything across.
What’s bio-spira? And also what’re some fish that I can add to a 60 gal that are reef safe that I couldn’t originally add to my 45gl?

It's used for insta-cycling tanks. What are some reef-safe fish? It's a long list - including some that may or may not be reef safe.

That’s fair, I know that’s kind of a difficult question to ask considering there are so many! I’d love to get a tang or puffer but I’m not sure any tangs can fit in a 60 AIO long and I don’t think many puffers if any are reef safe

Valentini puffer would be the only "maybe" reef-safe puffer, and they don't grow that big. Instead of a tang you could look at a dwarf angelfish.

Both I’ve thought about! Now that I’m upgrading I’d definitely love to get some more fish just don’t know what yet
