No idea how this happens. Zoas are usually pretty stuck.

Oh, yeah, they'll do that. They seem to be good at detaching bits of living material to carry around- you'll see them with hunks of something you could swear were anchored. I wonder if it's an adaptation to help them pick up hats that will grow, rather than little bits of stone and shell?
