So this happened right after a water change. Spawning? Dying? Just happy to see me?

I've had them spawn multiple times after water changes. I'm not entirely sure what causes it, maybe a few degree temp change?

I know temp changes can induce spawning in tuxedo urchins, so I wouldn’t be surprised if that induced spawning in other kinds of urchins too.

My pink pincushion urchin spews some coagulating substance (for lack of a better description) during water changes,,, not always but probably about 20% of the time.

I've always assumed it was some kind of triggered spawning event but, since I only have one, I also assume it won't ever be fertilized (((but, never took time to look up urchin reproduction behavior)))

At the end of the day, the urchin is always fine but no new ones ever appear...

Nothing seemed to be effected aside from my skimmer going crazy.

Maybe it was temp related, I don't pay attention to my water change water temp, I only change about 6% water volume.

Cool to see for sure.
