I just bought this 55 gallon setup on Craigs list. Do I need to bleach this or something? Is there a procedure when it comes to used stuff? What about the protein skimmer?

Protein skimmers are simple. They have a pump, the have a method to produce bubbles, they have a way to adjust like a gate valve, they have a column for the bubbles to climb up and a cup to catch up the skimmate. All of those parts will pretty near last forever ............ except the pump. So if you buy used, you might want to see if you can get a replacement pump.
