Used lighting

I see a lot of people selling used Radion, Kessil, and other brands for 1-200 cheaper than buying new. I don’t want to sound like a jerk when I tell them that I think they’re crazy for wanting so much for a 2-3 year old light....no warranty...nothing. Am I the crazy one here??

At those prices buy new. My ATI t5 fixture was used and cost me $200. It looked like new. However with the leds you can’t really repair them like an ATI t5 fixture. It’s a tough one. $600 for a slightly used light no warranty. Don’t get me wrong I like good used reef gear, but it has to be at least 50% off to make sense. Good luck.

Leds lose brightness over time, so bigger discounts are warrented for used.
