I'm makeing a overflow box and wouald like to save $ . Will DIY acrylic cement be OK for this?I mixed Acrylic scraps and acetone in a jar to sit. Tried. A small piece and man its bonded well, Or so it seems!

Your DIY method chemically speaking does not constitute a solvent weld, leaving a ‘solid mass’ of entangled polymer chains. With that said not my first choice as it can be messy if your not careful, but weld-On #16 should work fine for your application a small tube of #16 weld-on is less then 8 dollars probably cheaper the a small can of acetone.

(btw they do make micro tips for #16)
