Using external barb and screen kit for Vectra S2

Alright so I've purchased a ecotech vectra s2 return pump only issue is I'm going to be using soft tubing but no store that ships to Switzerland has the barb and screen kit in stock, so I was thinking of using the kit from my previous pump Jebao MDC-5000 with the new pump, if using the kit for soft tubing from my previous pump fits and works with the vectra would it be a viable option?

If it fits you're laughing. Other than running "non-standard" EcoTech parts, there's no harm in trying. I use some unofficial plumbing parts from my local hardware store to achieve similar work-arounds.
