I have 64 oz of fritz zyme 9, just added salt adding sand later today, my dt is 110 and sump is around 30 gallons im guessing. what steps do i need to do to ensure im cycling correct, do i need amonia?

I have never used fritz products, but I here they work well. I would add sand and some rocks before adding the fritz for the bacteria to attach to follow the instructions on the bottle for your DT size. You well develop Ammonia in time test everyday do not put fish in till you have Nitrates first you will get Ammonia it will peak then you will get Nitrites if no fish is in there this is the time to start water changes. Nitrites will peak and you will start getting Nitrates keep doing water changes ammonia and nitrites will start going away once gone your tank is cycled. there is many other ways and some will post after me go with what you think will work best for you.

Follow the directions on the bottle.
