Are there any downside to using the new Apex (the silver body, not sure if it has a different name now) with the old black EB8?

I have 4 EB8s on my frag system that I plan on moving so I am going to need a second Apex and I am considering the new Apex but not sure how it will work with the EB8 that I already have.

What are the pros and cons of doing this, I cant find much info on this.

Thanks,
Brian

Should work just like they would on the old (classic) apex.

The new eb832 is not compatible with the apex classic.

Does it limit you in anyway or does it have the same functions as the new silver energy bar?

Same functionality minus the ability to monitor power consumption for the energy bar and/or each outlet. I have one of each hooked up and I put my noncritial items on the old bar such as a media reactor, back up cooling, refug lights etc..
